This week was “debut singles” week, where all the songs had to be the first single released by a group or artist. This turned out to be a more contentious topic that we first thought, with Lee testing the boundaries of our rules with a shock entry by the supergroup Band Aid.
After a minor fit of pique and a threat to play “Mr Blobby” by Mr Blobby, I responded with Killing in the Name Of by Rage Against the Machine. This turned out to be equally contentious when our normally highly reliable music library spat out a mysterious acoustic cover of what should have been a rock classic. My own Rage Against the Machine was… palable.
With questions being asked at the highest level, we’ve left it to the listeners to decide on who won this week’s SoundClash!
