Somewhere on the coast of England, Neverbury is a quaint little seaside town with the kind of problems that a lot of quaint little English seaside towns have these days… demons, serial killers, immortals, thieves, time travellers, ghosts, vampires, haunted houses, witches, an extraordinarily strident village council, and monsters.

“A deliciously dark set of stories - like a chocolate box, each chocolate filled with a mix of humour, blood and strange happenings. Written with flair, confidence and a keen eye for detail. If you like Inside No:9, you’ll love this!”

“Loved this from start to finish, I listened to the Audiobook which was brilliantly read by Terry Cooper and then had to buy the hard copy straight away. Very Inside number 9 esq with moments of Neil Gaiman. Loved it.”

“Absolutely loved this book. The author slowly paints a picture of the quaint little town that has many secrets! Each independent story weaves a web of mystery and strange goings on in Neverbury ensuring you are hooked from the start!”

Reviews

witchyromanceauthor Getting into the stories themselves will give away too many spoilers for my liking, so with this series, I won’t do that. But if you like Stranger Things, this is up your alley. It’s definitely worth a read. I could even see this being a TV series down the line, with each episode featuring a story akin to The Twilight Zone.
Mass Movement Magazine Here’s the deal. If you like the League, and Psychoville, and Inside No.9, and even to some extent the likes of Garth Marenghi’s Darkplace, you’re going to want to get hold of Welcome to Neverbury by Chris Lynch, because it has that same swirl of paranormal darkness through its comedy. Or that same swirl of blood-black comedy through its horror, depending on your point of view.
chainsawheartbooks I really enjoyed this! The concept of short stories all taking place in one location really intrigued me, I love movies like that and this is the first book I’ve read utilising this. And it just worked so well.
ramblesandreads This was such a wonderful little book! I’m actually obsessed with this town and all the lore behind it because I feel like deep down the lore goes DEEP for this town. I loved every single story, they were spooky yet funny and always had a good conclusion that compelled you to keep the pages turning even though the stories were completely different.
